Quick answers about sending, travelling and your account.

Getting started

What is HelpCarry?

An app that connects people who need documents or small gifts carried with travellers already flying that route. You can also find a travel buddy for company, airport help or exploring together.

What does it cost?

HelpCarry takes zero commission. You agree a fee or tip directly with the traveller, and they keep 100% of it. Many people carry documents for free.

Do I need to verify anything?

To post, offer or carry you need to sign in with Google or an email link (not as a guest) and confirm you're 18 or older. We don't check ID documents, so read reviews, inspect every item and meet in public.

Sending

What can I send?

Documents, clothes, books, packaged gifts and similar small items. Not allowed: medicine for others, cash, weapons, liquids over the limits, and food that customs ban. Every request is checked against the route’s rules.

How does the handover work?

Meet in a public place. The traveller sees the item, both of you take photos, it’s sealed with a numbered seal, and you both sign the declaration in the app.

How do we agree when and where to meet?

Once a booking is accepted, open it and use Plan the handover. Either of you suggests a date, time and public place, and the other confirms or suggests another time. After it’s confirmed you can add it to your calendar or open it in Maps, and you both get a reminder before the meeting if notifications are on. Meet in daylight in a busy public place, never at a home, and treat a last-minute change of place as a reason to walk away.

What is the delivery code?

A 6-digit code that only the sender and recipient can see. The recipient gives it to the traveller on arrival to confirm delivery. After 5 wrong tries the code locks for a while.

Travelling

How do I stay safe as a traveller?

Only carry what you’ve seen and helped seal. Keep within customs allowances, and decline anything that feels wrong. Our safety centre lists what to do.

Why are there limits for new members?

For your first 3 completed deliveries, you can send or carry only documents, clothes, books or gifts worth up to US$100, and the same applies when the other person is new. First trips between strangers carry the most risk, so small, easy-to-inspect items keep both sides safe while you build a track record. The limits lift automatically after 3 completed deliveries; companion trips are not affected.

How should I set a fee?

It’s up to you. Typical suggestions are shown when you post a trip. Because there’s no commission, the full agreed amount is yours.

Travel buddies

How does Find a travel buddy work?

Post your trip with dates, airports and optional flight numbers. We show people on the same flight first, then the same layover, then the same route and dates. Only signed-in adult members (18+) can connect, and it's free.

Who is it for?

Anyone travelling: solo travellers, first-time flyers, older travellers, people who want airport or transfer help, language help, a shared ride from the airport or someone to explore with.

Can children use it?

No. Travel buddies are adults only (18+). Children flying alone should use the airline's unaccompanied minor service.

How do I stay safe meeting a stranger?

Meet first in a busy public place at the airport. Never hand over your passport, boarding pass, phone or money, and never carry anything for someone. Share your trip with family and report anything that feels wrong.

Account and problems

Something went wrong with a booking

Open the booking and raise a dispute within 72 hours of delivery, or send a report from the safety centre. A person will review it.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Profile, then Delete account. You’ll be asked to type a word to confirm. Some records may be kept for a limited time if the law requires it.

Can I use the app in my language?

Yes. Choose your language from the globe menu or in your profile. Translations are being reviewed by native speakers.

Still need help?

Send us a message. A real person will reply.
